Bethel Christian School is blessed to have a highly committed and diligent School Board. The School Board provides strong governance through its strategic planning processes, setting overall goals and aims for the school. The Board supports and cares for the School Principal providing a strong partnership between the Board and the School.
Strategic Plan
The Board recognises its role to work with the Principal and Management of the School to set the strategy and to ensure that the Strategic Plan that results from the development of the agreed strategy is adequately resourced and then implemented as agreed.
To develop a coherent strategy that meets the current needs of the School, the Board will meet at least once every two years with the Principal and Management to specifically agree on the strategic objectives of the school The Principal will use the strategic objectives to finalise the Strategic Plan, which the Board will then approve.
The Strategic Plan will include identifiable and measurable Key Performance Indicators. The Board will receive reporting of progress against the Key Performance Indicators in the Strategic Plan from the Principal at each board meeting.
Role of the Board
The Board is responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the school, and for delivering accountable performance and compliance in accordance with the Objects of the Association, as outlined in the Constitution and expressed in various goals and vision statements as agreed from time to time.
