Student Internet & Device Usage 

Bethel Christian School provides our students with internet access for responsible, safe and educational purposes. However, internet access will only be available on the conditions that students agree to the points outlined below. 

1.) I will not access any inappropriate material.

2.) I will not access any pornographic sites or sites including pornographic material or content.

3.) I will not send messages or go on Facebook/Instagram/Snapchat/YouTube/Tiktok, chatlines, emails or any other social media sites without express teacher permission.

4.) I will not engage in any conduct that could be considered cyber bullying, harassment, accessing someone else's devices or accounts with or without permission, sexting or any inappropriate related behaviours.

5.) I will not give out any personal information about myself or others online.

6.) I will use my time wisely and follow teachers’ instructions whilst online.

7.) I will not download music, videos, photos, games or anything else without teacher permission.

8.) I will not copy and paste information directly into assignments(plagiarism).

9.) I will inform a teacher immediately if I accidently access something inappropriate online.

10.) I will inform the teacher immediately if I receive communication of a harassing or inappropriate nature, including pop ups and spam.

11.) I understand that my access to School networks and internet use is filtered through services to restrict access to inappropriate material and I acknowledge that staff and the Principal can access and check all web history and online activities, view emails and check files.

12.) I understand and acknowledge that staff and the Principal will report and record any inappropriate online conduct and can inform my parents and/or guardians, or in more serious cases, involve the police.

13.) I will not interfere with any settings, hardware or work belonging to others.

14.) I will not access any other person's folders or documents or accounts.

15.) I will not share my confidential passwords with anyone or use anyone else's devices.

16.) I will not print without permission from teachers.

17.) I will uphold the good name and reputation of Bethel Christian School in all my online activities.

18.) I understand and acknowledge that the School will intervene and take action when made aware of cyber bullying or similarly inappropriate behaviour perpetrated by students outside of the School. 

Bethel Christian School provides students with access to technology to enhance their education. MacBook’s, iPads, desktops, digital cameras, interactive whiteboards, classroom displays, and all other technological devices must be handled with the utmost care. This equipment will only be available to students who agree, sign and comply with this agreement.

1.) I will treat all equipment used with care and for the intended purposes as instructed by teachers.

2.) I will not load any programs from home onto a school computer, including information on USBs.

3.) I understand that I must use any protective covers distributed with any school devices. Any accidental damage (from not using protective covers properly) or intentional damage to a school device (iPad, MacBook, Screen) or accessories will result in myself or family being liable to pay any repair or replacement costs.

4) I will not attempt to bypass the school firewall by use of hotspot/VPN or other technologies.
