We do not tolerate bullying in any form. We educate our children in ‘Choosing Repsect’ and treating each other as we would want to be treated.
We encourage students and parents to communicate quickly when incidents occur.

Discipline
Bethel Christian School aims to provide an education that equips students to be all that God has called them to be. Our approach to discipline is largely based on training students. Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he/she should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
We believe:
Bethel Christian School aims to have a wholistic approach to behaviour management and uses clearly defined expectations, rules and consequences. We understand that we live in a fallen world and students are experiencing various challenges throughout their life journey. We aim at all times to be fair, consistent and caring whilst taking into consideration circumstances that may affect behaviour.
We believe that our attitudes and behaviour should reflect the standards found in Christian scriptures. The following scriptures are central to our policies and encompass how we would like our students and staff to act.
Matthew 22:37+38 - Love God and Love Others (The Great Commandment) - Encouraging students, staff and parents to follow this command will help to bring peace and unity to all that we do here.
2 Timothy 2:15 - Doing your best as a workman for God. Encouraging students and staff to do their best with all that has been entrusted to them, whether it be in class, in the playground, when representing the school in the community or in friendships.
Galatians 5:22-24 - And the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Against these things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Developing these character traits and attributes will help us behave in a manner based on our beliefs and in a way that is pleasing to God.
Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trusting in God with all our heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. Trust is earned through relationships, attitude and character. At Bethel Christian School we aim to entrust all that we do to God and pray that trust will be formed between all individuals.
Bethel Christian School provides staff, students and parents with clearly defined expectations and rules. These are outlined in Discipline Policies, Playground Code of Conducts, Individual Classroom policies and continued communication between the staff and families in our school.
