Bethel Christian School was established in 1981, with its mission being, “Bethel Christian School is to equip students for life, in a safe environment where Christ is honoured”.
The school was opened to reinforce the partnership between the school, the family and the church, and this is still our priority today.
The school currently has approximately 290 students from K to Year 10. Most year Tens graduating from Bethel Christian School continue their education successfully at one of the two large government schools in Albany.
Due to the faithful support of dedicated staff, parents, church members and the wider community, Bethel has grown in numbers and resources to provide an excellent educational facility for the children of Albany.
The school seeks to support and form a partnership with parents in the education of their children. We are aware that learning takes place most effectively when family, school and church function in unity to meet each child’s needs. It is essential that parents join with the staff of the school to teach, train and discipline their children, enabling them to reach their God-given potential.
Families are encouraged to contribute to the life of the school by being involved in areas such as the Parents and Friends Association and other roles within our school community. Parents are also welcomed to our parent assemblies, classroom visits and other whole school events.
Bethel Christian School has developed a good reputation amongst the wider Albany community through its involvement in various academic, sporting, music, arts and civic activities.
